Purchasing Lab Kits: ECE 401 lab kits are free: one kit per ECE 401 student (in-person and online)
- This gives you experience soldering a circuit board – a skill you’ll use in senior design (and elsewhere)
- The resulting boards allow you to test our your hardware
- They make the course a lot more fun: students tend to get a kick out of LEDs turn on, seeing their calculations work in practice
- They make the course a lot more effective: it helps to see that calculations match up with simulations match up with hardware
- They give you experience using multimeters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.

- Through the Raspberry Pi-Zero (power coming from the USB cord),
- From your 9V battery along with a 7805 DC-to-DC converter
